Apex gap

Hello I am new to this forum and single shot rifles. I have a question hopefully someone here can answer for me. I have a CVA Apex in 30-06 and when I close it and hold it up to the light I can see light at the bottom of the barrel, between the barrel and receiver.Will this be a problem? You can't see the gap unless you hold it up to the light. Thanks for any help you all can give me.
 
Welcome to TFL. The gap you describe should not be a problem. It is nearly impossible to create a perfectly mated joint on a break action firearm. I would be astounded if you said you could not see light through it. Have fun and let us know how it shoots:)

Thanks for the info. I will let you all know how it shoots. I hope it shoots good! I love the way it feels and shoulders!
