This is from YOUR report on Cheny-Bush:

"Cheney opposed gun control measures, including bans on imports of plastic guns that could be smuggled past metal detectors. True. But it also is a fact that Gore received the highest rating possible from the National Rifle Association in the 1980s."

Name the plastic gun that could be smuggled past metal detectors. You can't. It was the Glock which was under discussion in the early 80's, in response to a factually incorrect charge by HCI that it was a terrorist weapon. Never mind that the gun is only partially polymer, and it is actually the gun most chosen by law enforcement. Now the majority of handguns sold have the same polymer grip and steel frame which NEVER had a chance to slip through anybody's metal detector. How can you report such blatantly incorrect "information"? Why don't you just report that Cheny is an Extra-terrestrial, it would be as factual? I understand that you slant all your coverage to promote your liberal political agenda. That is nothing new. But I AM a bit surprised that you would just outright dissemble. Any chance you'll be retracting this obvious mistake? (Sim jr), Indianapolis, IN

i had a guy ask me the same thing today and I showed him my glock, which I happened to be carrying today. He looked at it and I showed him the nice STEEl barrel and STEEL slide, and he said yeah but they were trying to make it all plastic. Besides tha fact that the gun would probably fall apart or melt, some people just don't get it.

I seem to remember during the height of the "plastic gun" issue, someone in congress showed up with two photos. One of a Glock going through the metal detector the showed up very well the ENTIRE outline of the gun, not only the metal parts. The metal parts were brighter, of course, but the polymer parts showed well. The other photo was of a child's water pistol, which is truly all plastic, and it showed up as well. So this is truly a B.S. issue, again. I guess the gun grabbers thought we all forgot, and would swallow it all over again.
