AOL "Exit" poll results

The AOL "exit" poll with over 300,000 votes shows Bush in a lead of about %55 over %38 for Gore.

And, the second part of the poll is "who do you think will win?" and it has Bush in the %64 range and Gore down in %35 range.

As far as I can tell, AOL polls are pretty accurate because I don't think there is any way to vote more than once.
AOL polls have always had Bush in the lead so far, as long as I have been watching them the last two months.

I wouldn't trust it. Most folks on the internet are significantly more libertarian / conservative than average. This is not a random sample.

M1911 is right.

Don't rest for a second!

VOTE!!! Even if the race is called and you're on the West Coast.

Remember who votes first: people without jobs; i.e., the retired and the ... ah ... government transfer payment leisure class. All first results will be packed by people who depend upon big government to take care of them. Lefties. Once those of us with jobs get out of work, we vote. Don't expect definitive exit polls until 8:00PM Eastern time.

I voted this morning after hunting. Didn't see any deer but saw a BALD EAGLE!! It was cool! I wonder if it was an omen.

Ditto Bruegger, 7:10 AM.

I wanted to be part of any early numbers, although here in NJ my vote doesn't count anyway.

Leisure class? A lot of the people voting in the morning had just gotten off the graveyard shift. Leisure class, my butt.

Looks good for our side (for what it's worth). Network media mouthpieces are being very quiet about who's leading. I take that as a good sign for Republicans. The suspense is grueling. -- Kernel
