I was checking out the springfield website when I saw the Operator models. They come in two flavors, Mil-spec, and TRP.
They're got full length dust covers that feature light rails. I've liked this design since I saw the Les Baer Monolith. Has anyone gotten a chance to shoot one of these, or handle them? They're about 3 oz. heavier than regular 1911's. I like the ability to mount a light, but I like the look of the frame and slide a lot more. I guess the only problem would be finding a suitable holster.
Here's the links for the Mil-Spec and the TRP, respective.
