Anyone taken the Arkansas CCW test?

I am set up to take mine but since I am not used to using an auto I figure I need all the practice I can get. does anyone know the distances at which the shooting test is taken?
While we're on the subject does anyone know how long it takes to recieve your permit after completing test?
 
Hit a 12"X12" target from 7 yds with 5 rds if I remember correctly. I think my 3 year old could do it with my glock. Took them 2.5 months to get my permit, but I'm sure times are a little bit longer as I have heard they are overloaded with applications. Good luck.
 
It depends on where you go. At Don's Weaponry they made us shoot two handed, strong hand, weak hand, and without using the sights (point shooting).

I thought it was a decent class. You should be able to do it, though I've seen asolo's toddler at the range and immediately jumped back in the car. Who wants to be made to look bad by a kid in diapers? (They have upgraded their software so it isn't as bad as it could be.)
 
Great, I appreciate it guys. I wouldn't even stress it if I could use my single action but then a revolver would be all I could carry. Still I've been practicing at about 25 yards so 7-10 should be a cake walk
 
i took mine at the Blue Ribbon Range in Pine Bluff....

we shot at 3, 5 and 7 yards, and he supplied Buckmark 22's for ppl who had revolvers... that way you could qualify with an auto
 
Thats one nice thing about Pennsylvania no test Just fill out the paper work and wait 45 days. The bad thing is this winter really sucked.
 
You were just required to show "proficiency" with your weapon,ie knowing how to load and unload it safely,and hit a target 7 yards away.
If you use an auto,your permit is unrestricted as to handgun choice. If you use a revolver,that is all you can carry on your permit.
Don't sweat it, you'll do fine.
 
Hmmm....my instructor did NOT require us to shoot at all...I shot, but some didn't. I sent mine off a the end of November and it took 76 days from mailbox to mailbox.
