I am interested in any comments about your experience with the ccp. I got interested in it when i could barely rack my Browning Hi Power and when i read the reviews especially the ease of racking comments.
The consensus seems to be that the CCP is a terrible gun. It's made (poorly) by Umarex, not Walther, and it's amazing how many owners have problems with them. At the gun shop/range where I work, almost every customer who owns one has had issues with it. Here's another thread on the subject:
Reports on the Walther forum are that recent owners of the Walther CCP are experiencing much better reliability these days.
There are very proven single stack 9MM pistols such as the Walther PPS and M&P Shield but if you have a special need it would be worth your time to at least check out the CCP at your local gun store.
Here is the link to the Walther Forum CCP section. It is also a great forum to join even if you just want to ask some questions about the CCP and are not a current Walther owner.
You might want to check out an EAA Tanfoglio Pavona if you need an easier to rack 9mm. Made to sell to the female market but they have a couple colors that aren't too frilly.
