Anyone put skinner sights on a marlin 1894?

Thinking of getting some after good reviews ie seen, wondering, do you keep the original rear sight on and line up all 3? I like peeps since there quick to aquire for me and more precise.
 
I was thinking about getting a set, but ended up with a set of Williams on my 1894. I found they line up great with the original sight, which I just fold down.

I'm planning on getting one of the Skinner sights for my 1895 soon, but other projects have priority at the moment.
 
Some folks like them. I've heard that they're the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Personally I put a Williams sight on all my levers, generally preferring the Foolproof. Changing apertures is easy and by simply unscrewing the aperture, you've got a ghost-ring sight.

But, there are those who claim that the Skinner sights are wonderful. YMMV.
 
Do the williams go on a scope base easily too? Looked up a pic and rember i shot one about a year ago forgot how it was attached though. I do know i prefer peeps to open though.
