Anyone Pin Their Barrel?

I was thinking of getting the rifled barrel of my 870 pinned to the receiver for increased accuracy/consistency.

I've read how this is the first step twoard serriously making your rifled sabot gun more accurate. Not sure how much it costs, or how much re-sight-in work I will need to do. 12ga Sabot ammo is pretty expensive. Having to totally re-sight the thing might make me think to wait, meaning 3-5 rounds at every 50 yards out to 200 yards. Getting it on the center of the paper the fist time at 50yards was expensive enough.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this done, and what their experience has been.

Not really looking for a bunch of people telling me why I don't need to do it because all I need is this gun or that gun and this ammo, because their smooth bore shoots just fine... blah blah blah...

Just get a cantilever scope base, that way your scope is mounted directly to the barrel and will not shift POI.

Ditto on what Scorch wrote.
Also, a barrel with a cantilever mount doesn't risk damaging your gun like a pinning might.
