Out of curiosity, I was wondering what one would have to do if they wanted to open their own personal range (outdoor). If I recall, the range would have to be at least one mile out of the city limits away from residential zones (I don't have a reliable source on this, so I'm not 100% sure)
I tried looking this up, but I'm probably not using the right words in my search.
Of course you'd need to buy the land to build the range upon, but I'm not sure what else is required (License' perhaps?)
