has anyone ordered from them? i just found the site and they seem to have some really good prices. any good/bad experiences? thanks
 
I tried to place an order last year but couldn't get through for two weeks. The lines were constantly busy. The copy of my CCW I faxed was never received. Granted, that was during the Y2K rush. A friend of mine has ordered several times without a problem. I'm thinking of trying again to buy a couple cases of ammo later this year.
 
GOOD:
1. Good ammo prices
2. Good prices on chap mags
3. nice slection of knives

BAD:
1. Took about 2 weeks to ship my order
2. Their "cheap" mags are not very good, although what do you expect for the low cost?

In all, I would say I would do business with them again happily. I would just stay away from their no-name mags and order the better ones which they available (also at a good price).
 
And don't forget their ridiculously high shipping and handling charges. Turns out, they're not cheaper than dirt after all.
 
Their prices are good, but not great, but they do donate money to Gun Owners of America if you visit from the right link.

I placed my second order with them about 2 weeks ago. They're slooooow to ship. It took 2 weeks from the date of order before they shipping both orders.

I guess I'm spoiled. Most Internet companies ship in 1-2 days, but about 8 years ago everyone said "please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery."
 
I like them. just remember that you generaly get what you pay for, even with good prices....

They have a decent return policy if all else fails.

I still prefer Cabella's...but it's hard on my wallet!

I have bought quite a bit from CtD; I'm generally satisfied with them.

However, for ammunition I strongly recommend ammoman.com; far better prices, selection, and service -- plus free shipping -- than from CtD.

Don't you guys mean slowerthandirt.com? They are SUPER slow when it comes to getting your order to you. HOWEVER, I still buy from them because they support GOA.

I buy from Cheaper all the time. S&H are high, so best to place a large order as opposed to several small orders. Also, they
ARE slow, usually about two weeks for the order to arrive. One time they shorted me a speed loader, but got the missing piece out to me in a week.

For the most part, their prices are the best I've seen and the GOA link is nice.
 
I've ordered from them once. I agree with other posts about slow delivery. Prices good, but factor in the shipping and handling fees. I would buy from them again.
 
I buy all of my plinking ammo, as well as other things I can't live without, from CTD. I have the advantage, however, of living close to them, so I've never had to deal with any of the frequently-mentioned shipping problems - Just state sales tax.

Good prices, decent selection. No problems with site or catalog. But shop around, sometimes others have lower prices.
 
Bought from 'em before and will again.
Just don't be in a big hurry to get your stuff...

Haven't had any of the shipping problems everyone else has mentioned, I have always received my orders within 10 days or so. Good service, good prices, I haven't had a bad experience yet. Their shipping prices are high if you make a small order, but then I've never made a small order...
