Anyone listen to Hannity today?

Yep.

Today is my birthday, and his interview was the best present I could hope for. An articulate, intelligent woman using a gun properly in self-defense is a work of beauty. And Hannity sounded pretty knowledgeable himself.

The lamestream media won't feature this story because:
1) The gun was used properly in self-defense.
2) The gun owner is intelligent--can't let that info get out.
3) The gun owner is articulate--another violation of the stereotype the media has so laboriously constructed.
4) The gun owner is a woman--can't let other women get the idea that it's better to defend yourself rather than let some animal masquerading as a human terrorize, brutalize, and otherwise destroy you. Above all, it's the agenda that's important; can't let anything jeopardize it.

I hope the NRA steps in and does a feature article on this brave woman.

Hannity is a dolt.

But he does cover a lot of REALL TRULY GOOD NEWS.

Him and O'reilly both do.

+1 for stuff to use against antis.

That was horrible. Imagine the stark terror she was going through. The guy probably thought she was just another unarmed old woman he could take advantage of.

I'm probably going to have nightmares thinking about all the little old people who don't have guns and who get killed/raped/robbed every day. :(

Then you have the idiot 911 operator telling her to quit shooting the home invader. Typical liberal attitude.

I'm so glad you posted this. It made the local evenung news here in Houston and I looked for it to post butcouldnt find it. I'm just glad she already had the gun on her and it wasnt hidden somewhere that would have made it hard to get to.

Wow. Was that ever a COOL story and video. She handled the situation exactly like the teach in NRA class -- He either 1) gets on the floor, 2)he runs, or 3) he gets shot. No negotiating, no discussions, no polite voices.

As cool as the story is, and as great as it ended, I'm thinking she and her daughter probably shouldn't have tried to clear that house. A muddy footprint and a broken door would have me calling the cops and getting my family secured -- and I'm a big guy.

What a smile that TV story was. I thought the local station handled it great (would have liked to have seen how the same story was handled in SF).:D

And then the 911 operator ... "tell her to quit shooting him -- she needs to quit shooting him."

Sorry, miss operator -- she NEEDS to KEEP shooting him until he's not a threat.

Hannity is not really a dolt. But I think hes a *******.

He doesnt allow people in a debate with him to speak. He's extremley rude and doesnt even try to understand peoples opinion. Numerous times hes labeled guest idiots for havent opinions that really arent to bad.

He does cover good stuff. But he thinks hes god.

I'm sorry I missed that one.
The 911 operator needs to keep her views to herself.......especially when she cannot see what is happening. Perhaps she needs a different job.

edited to add:
As the woman was letting her dog into the backyard, she saw a muddy footprint on the back porch that she hadn't seen before. She then noticed that her cats were out of the room that they usually slept in and that items in another room had been moved.

As she was checking the house with her gun (a .38 revolver) still in her hand, she found the suspect hiding under a coat in a closet near the front door. The woman told her granddaughter to call 911. The suspect leapt out at the woman. They exchanged words and he attempted to take the gun from her. The woman shot the man in the upper leg and fired a second shot, but missed. The suspect fled and officers found him a few houses away on an upstairs balcony.

Arlington police do not anticipate filing charges against the 66-year-old homeowner.

I saw parts of the video and 911 call. It's interesting to see the media do a total turnaround because of the stuff that happened in NOLA after Katrina. They even had some kudu's and a commentary about this on the regular nightly news.

What was even more funny was today they had some anti-gun idjit on Hannity's slander and bash hour (I think SH is the WORST journalist and his program follows suit for the most part). The guy was so screwed up on the subject of guns that he wasn't able to articulate any logical argument. He said that he opposed guns BUT in this particular case, the woman was OK to have had a gun and use it. HUH? He also said that he didn't own a gun (HAY, BG's, looky looky..... a victim ready and waiting) but was willing to use a knife or baseball bat (HUH? Isn't that STILL lethal force?) against an intruder.

So, his argument was: Guns are bad, unless you're a little old lady, then you're justified in having and using one if necessary. Guns are bad but using a knife or baseball bat to kill someone is OK. Guns are bad.

Sounds to me like the guy needs some more brainwashing cuz what was already done to him is starting to wear off and he's waking up and smelling the roses (and fertilizer).
