My Savage "Weather Warrior" model 16fcss just came in and I'm thrilled to say that it was not the model with the muzzle brake and no hinged floor plate.
The is a stainless/composite rifle. It has a 24" inch barrel and a detachable-box magazine. The scope is a used Nikon Buckmaster 4.5 X 14 A/O with a 1" inch tube. I've given y'all alot of information because I don't know how much information ya need to determine what set-up I need.
All of my rifles prior to Katrina's trip through my house had Vari X III's. Most of them had Leupold's Quick Release mounts-n-rings. I found them to work very well. Honestly, I never was very hard on them though. I took really good care of my shooting stuff. (A lot of good it did me)
I have no idea how to figure-out what are the part numbers of the mounts I need or the rings that I want. Of course I want the lowest-profile set-up I can manage using Leupold's QR stuff.
If anyone knows how to figure it out, please list the part numbers.
