Anyone Know If The "One A Month" Handgun Law Is In force In Pennsylvania Yet ?

I believe that the Pennsylvania legislature was in the process of passing a new law restricting residents to the purchase of one handgun per month, something that appears to be spreading like a disease through other states as well.

If anyone can update me I'd be grateful.

No, In Pa. you can buy as many guns as you wish, as long as you pass the Pa. Instant Check ( PICS) When Colt announced the big news I ordered one of each weapon in the 1998 catalog and got them all on the same day. A few months ago I got 3 handguns on the same day. I have heard nothing to make me believe that anything is in the works, and I work in a gunshop.... Hope this helped.

It was my understanding that when an FFL sold more than one gun to a person at one time, that information was to go straight to the BATF who are supposed to, but rarely do, look into it to see if you are an evil "gun trafficker."

This is actually old news.
The bill was introduced by Lisa Cohen (Republican, Philly area...).
I went to Harrisburg and testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee against this bill.
I had to endure (former) Mayor Ed Rendell of Philadelphia ramble on his anti-gun trirade for almost an hour. Rendell is the a$$wipe who came up with the idea to sue the gun manufacturers initially (was also some how involved in the S&W sellout, if I recall correctly.) I've read Rendell wants to run for Governor of PA when Ridge's term is up.
The ignorance of the anti-rights folks (such as Rendell) is astounding. I was so pissed that I tossed my written text and read a few of those folks the riot act.

The bill died in committee.
