Anyone know about this .22 Automag

Madison46, the AutoMag II was first produced in 1987 by AMT. There was a Standard Model with a 9-shot magazine and a 7-shot Compact version. When Galena bought out AMT in 1998, they decided to continue to produce these same models. The designs precede the 1994 Crime Bill so maximizing the legal capacity of the magazine probably wasn't taken into consideration. Hope this helps!

A friend of mine used to have the old version of the AutomagII Compact. The closed slide refers to the fact that the full sized ones have a cut out slide like a Beretta 92 and the Compact doesn`t. He likes his well enought except that it would only reliably feed Winchester ammo. Anything else would jam like crazy. Neat little guns though. Marcus

Madison, I had an Auto-mag II about ten years ago, I sold it to buy a mini-14...that was a big mistake..the Auto mag was fun to shoot, although it was extremely loud and had a lot of muzzle flash..I also had problems with the recoil rod destroying itself...but I wish I still had the pistol.
