anyone in connecticut?

Due to unexpected plans I'm most likely moving to CT (west hartford) from AL in a few weeks. Now I still don't know all that well about laws in CT (after surfing packing.org). From my understanding is that you can't carry in CT with a AL permit, but can I at least store my handguns in my aunt's house in CT? Im probably going to move to her house first.

so my question is...is it legal to just store your guns in the house in CT? And to just bring them to the range to practice with? I really want to make sure this because I do not want to get into any legal problems when I do move there...:p

oh...another question: Can you tell me of any ranges near west Hartford?? if I'm moving there I ought to know a range or two to sharpen my skills while there ^.^
 
there used to be 2 different permits, 1 you could get from the town you live in, and a state pewmit so you could carry it any where in the state, I don't think you need one to keep it in your house.
I have a friend IN Ct.that i'll call later to see if anything has changed.

Sec. 29-35. Carrying of pistol or revolver without permit prohibited. Exceptions. (a) No person shall carry any pistol or revolver upon his person, except when such person is within his dwelling house or place of business,
