Anyone got free hazmat going?

Like the title says, anyone know about free hazmat going on?
I'd like to stock up on Benchmark and maybe Varget and some benchrest primers if they are available.

It would be more cost effective for a company to offer the shipping charges for free and you pay for hazmat.

No affordable Haz Mat to AK

Up by Barge (limited quantity) or through Canada (lot of fun and costly)

Oddly you can carry some limited amounts through Canada in person.

"...through Canada in person..." Not if you're crossing bridges for some daft reason. You're not supposed to carry powder over 'em. Last I heard anyway. Isn't recently.
In any case, it's best to buy components locally. A keg of any powder will most likely be a special order thing. There are rules in most places about how much powder a retailer can have in his shop without having a powder magazine. Same thing applies to primers.
Hazmat fees aren't set by the retailer either. Federal thing mandated by the DOT. The actual amount is set by the carrier just like the shipping fees. The carriers pay an annual fee to the Department of Transportation, Stateside, to be licenced to carry the stuff. And there are rules for the rules.

just got a flyer from Midway USA. Order 150 dollars worth of CCI primers and free hazmat. That normally covers any other hazmat items also up to the weight limit.

For MidwayUSA free hazmat is usually any items coming from the same shipping source location, so if you have two powders drop shipped from different manufacturers it may not cover both, likewise if you get free hazmat on primers that are in their warehouse but powder comes from other source it won’t count.

Graf & son has $10 hazmat fee. Shipping is $7.50 flat. Not bad. I remember when I first started hazmat was $30, if there was any powder in stock.

Their prices are pretty good too.

Midway only ships from one location, Columbia Missouri. But you could give them a call at 1-800-243-3220 and check if you wanted to

That's not correct. They drop ship reloading supplies from different warehouses and different wholesalers. They stack both Hazmat and shipping if items come from different locations. I know a bit about it, I have placed orders well beyond $10,000 with Midway USA.

It's even stated in the cart before you checkout:

I have never ordered powder from Midway only some primers and that was years ago so I really should not have commented

Powder Valley is usually the best price vendor even if others offer free hazmat. . And regarding Midway; when I ordered powder from them, it was shipped from Powder Valley.
