Anyone ever work on an Iver-Johnson Sidewinder .22?

I bought this one last year. It was dirty and in rough condition, but locked up tight and fired .22s well. It's a nine shooter. I cleaned it up well and tightened a few loose screws and took it out. The only problem that I have when trying to fire single action. The trigger has to come back and hit the sear which is inside of the trigger guard. With double action, there is no problem, the cylinder locks up and the trigger trips the hammer and it fires. With single action, the hammer will roll back with the trigger (slowly falling and not hitting the primer). You have to pull sharply on the trigger to get it into the seer so that hammer can fall sharply and fire the bullet.

I could buy a new seer from Numerich, but will that do the trick? I'd like a little experience first. Anyone know? Thanks. Dave

Hey Dgray..Is it the picture or is the pin on the frame above the rear of the trigger gaurd missing? I'd go to "JACKS FIRST" for a better view of the inner workings & for parts. Or try "Bob's Gun Shop.com" for parts. Good Luck!!
