Anyone ever try a "Rig-Rag" on and old blue S&W revolver?

I bought a "Rig-Rag" at a gun show last weekend (an impulse buy, really) and tried it out on an older, deep blue S&W a while ago. I hope the look lasts because the old Smith has an even deeper shiny blue look to it now. If the look stays, the other "old guys" will get the same treatment.

Been usin a little RIG on a piece of sheepskin for 60 sumpin years.
Works.
And is a great corrosion inhibitor.

That's a loooong time! :)
I had heard that Rig makes those old deep blue Smith revolvers look really good and I must agree, it really does! This "kit" was a piece of sheepskin with Rig already on it in a plastic bag. There's another big gun show in Louisville next month and I plan to buy a bottle of Rig to replenish the sheepskin when it needs it. The Rig-Rag only cost's $7.50. I'll probably buy another one to put in my range bag. If it makes these old, deep blue steel revolvers look like the one I used it on a little while ago, I'd call it a really good and inexpensive product.
There weren't any directions on the plastic bag, so I just rubbed the sheepskin on the revolver, let it sit for a short time, and buffed off the excess. Sound like I did it right?

What Sam isn't telling you is that the sheepskin came from his business suit when he was a cave to cave mastadon salesman at the end of the last ice age....

I've been using RIG products for over 20 years. Good Stuff!!

RIG grease on a sheepskin is my usual "last step" before putting a gun in the safe that may not be used in awhile. RIG #2 oil on a cotton cloth is the BEST fingerprint remover I'd ever used.

Mike....
I did NOT sell Mastadons.
I sold Mastadon saddles and accessories.
Such as fuzzy dice to hang from the tusks.

No market.
Ever see a loaded mastodon walking ?
Everything bobbles.....like you.:D

I do wish RIG had been around from the 14th century or earlier....would be a lot more of the funky old guns in better shape.

Come to think of it, wish the stuff worked on me.

Sam......Weeel, this road used to go through.

Oh I can't ride a mastadon, Sam.

The vibrations from it walking set up a series of harmonic vibrations in my.... in my.... volumetric enhancement package...

The result is quite devastating to anything within a several hundred meter radius...

Wooly mastodons - how'd we get here from RIG?

A mastodon will get you off crack by putting you in one.
Imagine a coat from one of those beasts.

RIG is great but lost my sheep so will get to town for another:D

For wiping down really big guns...
Wooley Mammoth hide is good.

Probably take a full falgon of RIG
to do it right tho.

One would get doon from a mastodon.
One gets down from an Eider.

The English really messed up the language.

Sam. We also carried a line of tacticle torch brackets for tusk tips.
