Anyone else have to label their holsters?

Some of these darn holsters look so similar I have found that I have to label them to keep them straight. Anyone else have to do that?

PS: As you can tell by the label on the one holster, I have noticed the holster for XD's fits H&K USPc's perfectly.

great thread, had to laugh at PBP's problem because I have the same one ... I love kydex paddle holsters and have at least one for all the guns I carry ... of course they all look the same, I put a little piece of tape labeling them for easy selection ... one does say Kimber on it, which makes that an easy pick ...

Yep, I'm chagrined to admit that my leather drawer has so many holsters for so many handguns in it that I've found it necessary to keep them organized. I either keep them in their original package (that has the identifying information already on it) or put a holster in a zip-lok bag and label it with the gun it fits.
I can pretty much tell the guns apart...;)

I hope you know that you are contributing to people's transit to hell. I keep violating that covet commandment. So, tool of Satan, keep it up. I didn't know that penguins are denizens of the lower regions.

BTW, it's easy, I only have two pistols that I carry, both Sig P-229s. I actually only have one holster, and both pistols fit. :D

I do envy Dirty Harry, though, in Florida, there's no way I could conceal my
6" model 29. It's a bit big for shorts and t-shirt.

My leather holsters are all either...

... SimplyRugged or Andrews Leather. Both makers stamp the back side of the holster with the model for which it was made.

The only other holster makes I have are a SERPA for an M9, and a DeSantis Nemesis for my PM9.

So I don't need to label any of mine.

Labeling

I use steel number/letter punches. I have 3 sizes, works well. Noticed that some manufacturers use them too.

You are not alone in labeling your holsters. I use Sharpie black markers or Sharpie silver markers. Seems on some they will take different pistols. One must have holsters, lots, ha. Spad:D

I wish i had your problem.I only have 2 pistols.
Any ways,if labeling them fixes your issue then keep doing it.
Or only buy 1 brand/caliber....but then it would be boring.

Yes, I do. I use white correction fluid to label holsters. One small swipe on the back and write on it with marker. Or swipe thru label on the holster itself to highlight. When you have the same holsters for different guns, it's a good idea.

Doesn't work to grab the holster for your P239 when you're packin' your P229, and so on.

Most of my holsters are black, so the paint is necessary. Optional on the few brown ones I have.

Shown are a Del Fatti FBI for my Springfield, and a VM2 for my P220R The guns without rails fit fine in rail holsters, but, of course, not the other way around.

Pics could be better, I haven't played around with them that much just yet.

"ClipDraw" don't need a holster, the Don Hume I do have works well with my 9mm and both of my 40s, what's the chance of that ever happening.
