Anybody use CHEEKWELDS?

Rifle enthusiasts,

I just bought a cheekweld for my AR15 at the gunshow yesterday. Upon installation I discovered that the iron sights can not be used anymore, only my scope.

The cheekweld holds my head pretty still for scope use, but I loose the use of my iron sights. I was just wondering how many persons feel that the cheekwelds are an effective accessory.

I need some opinions because I haven't been to the range yet and would like to return it if enough of you gentlemen think cheekwelds are hype.

A friend of mine installed the DPMS Delta Ultra Lite cheekpiece on his Shorty. I've shot it, and just don't like it, but that's purely a matter of personal preference.

I have a PacSkin cheekpiece on my Shorty, and I like that fine. I can still use the iron sights (but never do) and it's just more comfortable to me than the plain plastic.
