Funny how the author catered away from police usage. He barely mentioned its purpose as a sniper rifle. Instead, he kept on toting it as a varmint rifle.
Either way, it sounds nice with a Remington 700 action, adjustable stock, available in .223, .22-250, .308 and .300 win mag. However, the price tag is $2400 without rings, bases and scope
For a rifle that'll shoot almost the same groups as the Magnum Research, I'd stick with a Remington 700 PSS or VS, add a Jewell trigger, good scope and rings and bases for half the cost. Throw in a beautiful McMillan stock and it'd still be cheaper.
Am I not seeing something that should standout?
