Anybody know where to get Hornady Cridical Defense 9mm

Trying to find some to try in my CZ Rami, anybody know where to get it. Went to the gun show today nobody had it.

Here in sw virginia my normal shop has had it the past few times I've been in. I even saw a few boxes at my local Dicks Sporting Goods today.

There's a good article in this month's American Rifleman reviewing/testing this ammunition. Of course, you have to be a member of the NRA to get the magazine delivered to your home so take a look at yours to learn more about Hornady's Critical Defense ammunition. Because it's so new on the market and due to the current ammunition shortages nationwide, the stuff might be hard to find for awhile. And it won't be cheap should you be fortunate enough to locate some.

Hornady

Sportsmanguide has some Hornady ammo available. I recently purchased some of the 38 spcl. 110gr +P FTX Critical DefenseAmmunition, item #90311 there but found that the box and therefore Sportsmans showed the muzzle velocity at 1270fps. The Hornady web site shows it as 1090 fps. Hornandy tech confirmed that is only 1090. Appears all of their 38 spcl ammo is overstated. The company declines to resolve the issue.

I saw some at academy, i dunno if its stll in stock. Its that FTX 9mm scritical defense round. its a hollow point with wax in the cavity. i got 25 rounds for $20

I don't know why you need Hornady's, I'd go with GDHP, they feed really well in my Rami, and your splitting hairs as far as who's better for SD. And GDHP have short barrel rounds avl.

If you have any decent-sized gun shops around, that's where I'd look. In Jacksonville, Fl, Shooters has plenty of all kinds of SD ammo. Well, in 9mm anyway. You can forget about .380 unless you're buying a gun of that caliber.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Wound up going thru ammunitiontogo. Best price I could find. Local dealer here selling for 24.50 but didn't have any. Even with shipping ammuniontionto go was cheaper.
