Uberti Millenium Centerfire Revolver from Cabela's? is it durable, accurate, good customer service, worth the price (which seems pretty reasonable if its not junk)?

A good entry level SAA backed by Cabela's. Gun Test mag did a test of them some time back and rated them as a best buy.

Basics. They have a black baked on finish, matte. The gripframes are a unpolished brass. They function. Think Jeep. I bought one. After stripping the finish, polishing the revolver inside and out, hardchroming and Ajax grips installation, I had $529.00 invested in a $200.00 revolver.

Simple project that I went overboard on. I purchased a simple single action. I stripped it, performed an action job with Lees springs, deepened the rear sight trough, lowered the front sight, polished the gripframe to a mirror finish, had a hardchrome finish applied, fire blued the screws for contrast, installed and fitted Ajax faux ivory grips and simply pushed inexpensive to over the top. They are great project single actions.

Sir William I feel you pain.
I picked up one too and I didn't have it more that two weeks before my Smith sweet talked me into a nice action/trigger job. I see myself already in your predicament :D The two weeks without it have left me too much time on my hands to do nothing but daydream of all the cool changes I will make.

BTW Did you square out the rear sight like the ruger? I was considering this too but I wasn't sure if it would weaken the frame.

PAnzer,
I only had it two weeks so I only shot about 100 rounds of cheap range reloads. but other than the packerized finish this thing is awsome. Not as "purdy" as the "Great Westerns" but I like it.

I considered squaring up the rear sight a la Ruger. I decided to trough it though. I can see more light and apply KY windage. The front sights are too tall, I was holding TN elevation at 6 and having POA/POI issues. Reducing the front sight helped. My example took a few reductions before it pointed naturally for my eyes. I can hit cherry tomatoes at 25 yards with it now. I couldn't hit a cherry tree with it before.
