Anybody know about a E. Rizzini TR II?

I found a used E. Rizzini TR II 12 ga. O/U for $600 today. It looks to be a decent gun and the action is smooth, not tight or too loose. The wood seems to be of decent quality and the weight and overall feel seem to be good. It has an engraved picture of pheasants and the engraving goes all the way around the gun. I was not able to shoot it, but it seemed to be a decent O/U. It sure is pretty ;)

Does anybody know about the TR II? I can't seem to find much info on it. Does this seem like a good deal or about standard?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

There are 4 Rizzini companies - in ascending order of quality there is E Rizzini, F.A.I.R, B Rizzini and F Illi Rizzini.

That is NOT to say that an E Rizzini is garbage - they aren't- they just have more machine work than hand work. Rizzini guns will handle your choice of targets nicely

E. Rizzini is now combined with Fausti as Rzzini married Barbara Fausti

The choke tubes are changable and it has a set of extras in a box with a wrench that all come with it. It has 28" BB.

Anybody have experience with them?

I googled E. Rizzini and found the 4 Rizzini companies and the family history. Pretty interesting. But couldn't find anything on the TR II gun itself.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Do a search on the TR on shotgunworld.com- they even have a "I love my Rizzini" section where folks who own any and all of the various family guns can answer your question

Okay, it's a Tristar TRII according to this ad I copied off google.

Apr 22, 2005 ... SHOTGUN: Emillo Rizzini Tristar TRII. 12 ga. 28” overunder, field trap, new. $919, asking $600obo. 510-0141. Ski's, Boots, and Poles. ...

28" barrels, and changeable screw in chokes ....and it looks like its in a "field stock configuration" ....in my area, it has a $ 500 - $600 or so value. So it looks like the asking price is in the ballpark ...to me.
