All this talk about night sights has got me thinking of getting some again.
I have a HK USP9C and I'm considering installing Trijicon night sights. I know Trijicon sells the assemblies that are meant to replace the white rods currently installed.
1. Do the sight have to be removed from the slide for removal of white rods and installation of tritium assemblies?
2. How are the existing white rods removed from the sights? (Solvent? Drilling?)
3. What kind of adhesive is used to glue the tritium lamps into place?
4. Would you recommend a reputable gunsmith do the job or is this a do-it-yourselfer? (I'm mechanically competent)
Thanks for your input.
