Anybody have a Non-Resident CT Pistol Permit?

I live here in NY and am considering getting a CT Non-Res permit so I can legally Pistol Shoot at a nice range I found right over the borderline. I know that you need a town permit then you go for the statewide permit. Thinking of applying at the TOWN of Danbury.

How many hoops do you have to jump through for this one?

I got mine from Sharon, CT. I understand that they've quit doing it for out-of-staters because of the sheer volume of applications that they had. Check with the CT link on Packing.org for updates and suggestions.
