Wasn't exactly sure how to title this, so let me try to explain what I mean ...
When going to the work, I'll frequently toss my stainless steel Taurus M85 snubbie into my briefcase and when I arrive at the office, lock it in my desk drawer. This is in addition to the Kahr MK9 that I would carry on me. Or, when going on a trip (either to the store or someplace else), I'll frequently place the M85 in a strongbox that I have bolted under the seat -- this would be in addition to the S&W3913 that I carry on my person.
I got into the habit of doing this after reading an article by Mas who said that while LEO now normally carry a back-up gun, the idea is just as valid for regular citizens. I don't carry a second "back-up" gun on my person, but I make it a point to have another firearm relatively nearby.
Just curious if anyone else does this and whether you think that it is a good idea or not.
