I am thinking about buying one of the H&K 91 clones. I have looked at the Cemte and the Federal Arms. I thinkn I like the Federal Arms better. The one I looked at was the short version. Anybody had any dealings with the Federal Arms?

Licensed HK parts usually include"

  • bolt assembly
    sights
    buffer assembly
    altered gripframe
altered trigger pack (US sear and hammer)
    cocking tube
    cocking handle support
stock parts (US p-grip and some US buttstocks with no sling attachment.
    altered, by sleeving, muzzle brake
barrel (some use new US or Korean barrels)

If you can find one, go with an Interport HK clone. They were put together, by SW, using mostly new parts and are reportedly very good. These should cost around $1000.

I have the Federal Arms clone. The two big disadvantages are that 1) it can't take wide forearms and 2) it's harder to trick someone into thinking you have a real HK91 :)

Other than that, the gun has been marvelous for me. I've had a few jams, but those are due to the old, junky mags I put through it, and not the gun itself. And the fact that it has a built in Weaver rail means you don't have to spring for a $400 HK scope mount if you want to scope it.

I have a Springfield Armory SAR8 of Greek manufacture.
It's great. Accurate and fun to shoot.
Want to buy it?
Bought it about 6yrs ago and put ~ 225rds through it.
One of many toys that don't get used all that often.
I Don't know what it's worth.
Does anyone know it's value?
Sorry for stepping on your thread.
