Anybody Familiar with Model 1 Sales?

I had a friend ask me today about this company and I've never heard of them, good or bad. He's working on his first AR build and I don't want to steer him wrong.

They've been around forever. They are owned by some relation to the Drasens that owned Nesard and Sendra. They typically sell AR kits geared towards budget target shooters. I personally think there are better values; but they make a lot of rifles. If you search the forums here, you can find a Model 1 that someone put 11k rounds of Wolf through with no cleaning.

My experience with them is fairly limited but positive. Bought an A2 CMP/NM kit from them 9 years ago and I still use it for reduced range matches. I ordered it at a time that AR rifles were in short supply (2008) and prices were skyrocketing; it took a few months and even though by then the price jumped by $150, they honored the price at the time I ordered. They are not high end but it's been a very serviceable rifle.
