I was using my offical Sports Illustrated
3-D glasses the other day and I decided to try them for sighting a firearm. The blue
lenses gave a much sharper image of the front sight while the red was too bright to use.
Together they were pretty good...what do you think?

That sounds kinda cool... :D

A few times I have tried holding my gun sideways ( like in the movies ) and even upside down. Always SAFETY FIRST.

But sometimes experimenting can be fun.

Try facing away from the targets, put on the glasses, and bend over so you can look through your legs towarwd the target, and shoot that way. Oh, yeah, put a sombrero on your a$$ too. Maybe someone will mistake you for an ugly Mexican midget gangster.

Hey now!

Just cause I`m ugly doesn`t mean you can knock my sombrero off my a$$... ;)

Oh, sorry, another case of mistaken identity.

:D

I've never tried that but I've always wanted to try taping a paper bag around my hand and see if I can call that "concealed carry"?

Do you think it would fly? :D Of course I'd use a large bag so it wouldn't print.

RKBA!

I've read that "punching" the gun towards the target, gangsta-style, like in the movies adds 2 feet-per-second.

Anyone verified this? :D

10mm: It's not the size of the Dawg in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!

I thought this was gonna be another "cartridge in the microwave" thread.

But alas, it's something else.

I have not tried the 3D thing.

However, I have held my camcorder up to my eye, using my L hand (yes, it is as awkward as it sounds), and looked through the viewfinder and lined up the sights that way holding the gun in my strong (R) hand.

Little bitty iron sights are kinda hard to see in the viewfinder, so accuracy isn't the greatest, but it is a HOOT!

I would like to get one of those wrist brackets that are spring loaded and holds the pistol, then when you want it, hit the release and the gun springs forward into your palm ready to rock and roll...

(Kinda like on that Antonio Banderas movie... I think it was called Desperado??)

Tamara,

Kewl idea! ;)
From now on I`m Punchin my 9mm when I shoot it, and hopefully the added velocity will turn it into a 357 SIG... :D

Tamara I've never tested that one but do know for a fact the harder you pull the trigger the further the bullet goes.

To the topic question, What do I think? I think you've got way too much time on your hands. :D

Hey Preserve Freedom, the welding mask idea is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while. Sounds like it would liven up things at a crowded range. Sort of like a 45 caliber version of pin the tail on the donkey.
