Any Taurus 627 users out there?

I've been looking at revolvers for years but all my cash always ends up going toward my bullseye competition guns. Most of the S&W revolvers I like whether new or old usually go for $1000 or more. The aesthetics of the Taurus 627 appeal to me and they can be had for as low as $400 new on Gunbroker from wholesale stores. I'm thinking it might scratch my revolver itch for a while, at some point I do want some nice Smith's and I know not to expect S&W quality from a Taurus. Any experience with the Taurus 627's.
 
I have a 6.5 inch 627. It's a great revolver. You are correct in saying you won't get Ruger or Smith and Wesson quality with one. But it locks up solid and shoots great.
 
I've had my 627ss tracker for a few years now. It's been reliable and shoots accurate. I also like the 7 round capacity.
