Any Sako Finnfire owners out there?

I am thinking about getting a high quality .22 rifle and have been really considering the Sako Finnfire. Would like to hear comments from anyone who has one of these rifles. I am particularly curious about what scope mounts/rings would be recommended. Thanks! Art G.

I have the heavy barreled version. Most accurate .22RF I owned until I bought the Kimber HS. Still very good. The stock is an incredible full curl dark walnut on both sides. The stock is pillar bedded.

I initially used Millett rings. They will fit anything due the to way they clamp. They can be adjusted for windage IF you are patient. I am now using matte Warne thumbscrew steel rings in medium to match the matte scope and receiver. Nicest rings I have used for a sporting rifle.

I am using a Leupold Vari-X II 6-18X40AO. I needed to shim the mounts with a piece of aluminum can to keep the AO from hitting the barrel. It is now 1/32 off the barrel for a nice tight cheekweld.

The rifle will shoot nickel sized groups on a calm day at 100 yards with standard velocity.

Down side according to some: The triggerguard/floorplate and bolt shroud is polymer or graphite reinforced polycarbonate (plastic). I would prefer steel, but this is way preferable to aluminum. At least if nicked or scratched, it does not show like shiny alloy.
