Could anyone give me a few holster recommendations
for an H&K Tactical .45 acp . Preferably
not a thigh strap swat team open carry rig.
I will take delivery of my new piece on Wednesday!!
I can hardly wait.

I've been very happy with Kydex holsters for my guns. I would check with Mad Dog to see if he makes one for that model. I know he does for other H&K's. If not check with Bladetech.

We specialize in tactical holsters (drop style). We have a nylon holster with a Kydex insert that works great with the USP. The Kydex offers better stand off and allows quick retention for EPW handling situations. Our holsters have two leg straps with two layers of elastic. Check out the pictures on our site. These holsters have been jumped, dived and ran all over the world by Recon, SEALS and SF.

Just a couple of ideas, hope they helped. Find 'em at the link below.

What holsters have you seen that you like?

This is the question that we should be asking you before we tell you what you should buy. It is obvious that you would prefer to not have a drop leg holster, but what kinds of configurations have you seen that you did like (belt, IWB, OWB, shoulder, duty). What materials have you seen for it that you liked. There is kydex, nylon, or leather, etc.

After you decide what you want and how it will work for you, then lok at models that fit your needs. I am not going to spout about the models that I sell when I don't know what you need, it wouldn't be the best way to help you.

Good luck with your new pistol. I know I would like to have one of those. I always get happy when I get a new gun.
