Any Pistols NOT Affected By The 10-Round Limit?

Are there any pistols that, because of their design, already have a capacity of about ten rounds (9, 10 or 11) independent of the law limiting magazine capacity to only 10 rounds?

The Taurus Millennium series first comes to mind but I believe that they were intentionally designed around the ten-round limit law PLUS there's something about a double-stack compact pistol that just doesn't feel right in my hand. Are there any others that "naturally" (independent of the law) meet this criteria?

Sure, theres lots of them-

HK P7 M8 has an 8 round capacity
Walther PPK has an 8 round capacity
Walther P38 has a 10 round capacity
Makarov has an 8 round capacity
9mm Lugers have a 7 round capacity
1911A1s have a 7 or 8 round capacity
Mauser M96 has a 10 round capacity

Single stack 1911-style pistols in .38 Super and S&W 10mm pistols both have a standard magazine capacity of about 10 rounds.

Built because of the limit- G26/G27 and G30. D@mn- something good came out of the ban! Thanx to Klinton and Jackboot Reno to create an innovative atmosphere in the gun industry because of their repressive ideas.

P.S. Yeap another singer of the praises for a gun that always goes "BOOM!" when you pull the trigger! :) :)

Sig 225 8 rounds.
Browning Hi Power .40 caliber is 10

Forgot the P232 or P230 and most of the .380 handguns.

If I modified the mags on my Beretta Cougar 8040 to fit all it could, it would only hold 11. That's only a gain of one.

Don't forget that a 1911 is only 7 so it isn't even remotely affected. :)

Also the P220 in 9mm and 38 Super (9 rounds) as well as the Colt 1911s in 9mm and 38 super and 10mm.

Another good by-product of the foolish ban is the design of the Glock 21, 10-rd. mag. It'll feed the much more lethal and dangerous .400 Cor-Bons and .40 Supers, and the hi-caps won't.

S&W model 39 9mm 8 rounds. its very pre all the nastyness with the agreement and its pre-the limit for roundage. is that a word?

my mom has one, rides with her in the truck everywhere. i like it a lot. accurate. smooth. clean looking.

interesting fact in the early '50s the model 39 was developed for the US military to replace the 1911 and convert to the 9mm parabellum like the rest of the world.
didnt meet the qualifications and the project was scrapped. took us till '85 to finally get that 9mm in there.

Any revolver and any single stack.

Others include:

HK P7M10 - 10+1 rounds
Beretta 96 - 11+1 rounds

I think the mini-glocks, p10.45, Kel-Tecs, Millenium and others were designed around the ban.
