Any Owners of the Plastic Charles Dalley?

I saw one in a current gun rag and showed it to my better half. She liked the PINK one! I didn't try to discourage her, but did point out that she wanted a lightweight (around 20 oz.) CC weapon. I know the issue of heavy gun = less recoil, etc.

Just wondering what your overall impressions are and quality. The 45 ACP compact model at 33oz. looks hopeful(?) but need more info.

I have in the Witness brand. Same gun. Shoots very well. Not much recoil or flip. WWW.bulkammo.com has extra mags for about $23.00.

The beaver tail bites into my side when using a IWB holster. Glock 30 holsters fit it perfectly.

I have about 400 rounds through mine with no FTF or jams.

A plastic Daly? If it's as good as the steel-framed Daly 1911 I *used* to own, it would make a dandy paperweight. ;)

Those were made in the Philippines, were they not? This baby is made in Israel by Bul for Daley?

Might be better - certainly the price suggests so.

CHEVYDRIVER,

What model Witness does it compare to? I'll look to see where those are available too. Aside from the beavertail, how does it conceal and compare to other handguns in your experience?

Mine is a Witness P-45 compact. 8 rounds in the mag. The 10 round mags fit but stick out the bottom about 3/4 inch. It is made in Isreal by IMI. It carries well. Short barrel and grip. Shoots great. Seems to be about like a Ruger. Built well but not real fancey.

I just bought a Glock 36 for my carry gun. It is a little thinner and a little lighter. No beaver tail and shoots a little better. Of course it is more money than the Witness.

The Witness does not have the cut out in the front of the trigger gaurd. Other than that they appear to be the same. A local sporting goods store had the Charles Daley and I almost bought it but the Witness is the same for about $100 less.

Any others questions just ask.

That Glock 36 was another possible option. I think she'd say, "It's a shame that it doesn't come in pink." :(
