Any one ccw an XDS 3.3 9mm.

Thanks Lee. I think I'm going to pick it. It's getting great reviews. I trying to decide between the XDs or glock 26. For some reason I just don't shoot glock well and the XDs is thinner.
 
I do as well. It can be pocket carried depending on side. I used to be heavier, so my pockets were HUGE. I've lost a lot of weight and now I can still fit it in my pockets, but not as easily. I use an Uncle Mikes size 3 holster for pocket carry. I find it rides very very comfortably in my waistband. Haven't gotten a proper IWB holster for it yet, but have been using a Galco holster for a glock 23 and the XDS fits in it fine-ish.
 
I carry one as well, IWB. I also have a pocket holster for it (Mitch Rosen El Raton) but I prefer to keep my pockets for mundane stuff - keys, coin, cash, etc. But for those who need or want pocket carry, sure, it's doable.

For me though, the rear sight and the upper pocket holster hook (rear of slide) are too close to each other. As a result a draw against that hook does not reliably release the pistol. I can get good results using the bottom hook near the trigger guard, but this draw is not natural for me. I'll probably have to get a kydex holster that overcomes these issues.
 
You may know this, it just wasn't evident in your post; but, the alternative G26 that you mentioned, while a great gun, is not really suitable for pocket carry. The Glock that is most comparable to the XDs is the G43.
 
I carry an XDs 3.3 .45 daily. I installed a LaserLite rear sight.
Normal carry is in a Remora IWB holster. When I wear it on my belt, I use the factory paddle holster.
IMO, it’s far too big for pocket carry. You could get it into your pocket, but good luck getting it out in a hurry. Also, it might not be obvious that you have a gun in your pocket, but it’ll be damn obvious that there’s something pretty heavy in there!
For pocket carry, I use a P3AT.
 
I pocket carry sometimes, use a cheap nylon type holster. I like the grip safety when pocket carrying. I IWB carry a Glock 26 a lot (my favorite CCW) and find my XDS 9 fit the same holsters quite well. When the pants are a little tight, the slightly thinner XDS works out a little better. I find the XDS 9 quite accurate and reliable for defensive purposes.
 
I pocket carry the XDS 45 3.3 and it is actually about 1 ounce lighter than the 9mm empty ... of course it weighs more loaded ... LOL

Great and dependable. I use a Nemesis for pocket or a IWB a 4 o'clock when my pockets are full.
 
I carry the 4 inch model AIWB. I don't wear baggy enough pockets to allow pocket carry, but AIWB is wonderful, I'm even able to pack with the extended mag without printing. I'm sure the 3.3 would be easy enough for someone to pocket carry, given big enough pockets.
 
Square edges complicate carry.

The XDs 9MM is what I started with. Love the gun and how it shoots. If you can IWB, it is perfect. If you are going to pocket, the square edges are harder to manage.

I switch between a Ruger LCP .380 for small pockets in a Sticky and an LC9s which fits beautifully in a Sticky in a larger pocket. My preferred pocket gun is the LC9s, but I do love the XDs 9MM.
