any new .22lr mouseguns on the market recently?

Since I can only own a limited number of pistols (two, to be exact), when it comes to the ultra small secondary pistol, it also has to have "cheap plinking" capacities (say: be .22lr).

Within the ongoing surge of new ultra-concealable subcompacts, the main trend seems to go towards super-small pistols in major calibers (9mm and above).

I just asked myself whether there are also some recently (let's say 2010 and newer) launched ultra-smalls in .22lr as well? (I'm quite happy with my current choice, just out of interest...).

Not sure if it qualifies as "recent" being a polymer model based on a long established design. But I bought a Taurus 22PLY a couple years ago. A polymer framed copy of the PT22 tip up barrel pistol. Taurus' copy of the Beretta 21a Bobcat.
The 22 PLY is very light weight, surprisingly accurate, and easy to shoot. Although I don't carry it for CCW it is about the same size as my Ruger LCP, and fits perfectly in the same DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster

Walther TPH is the most shootable. In Austria I'd rather have a PPK in 22.

How much cheaper is 22 than 9mm ammo these days?

me too! So it still seems to be the newest toy in this particular class on the market...

9mm: ca. 19 cents per round
.22: ca. 4 cents per round

(EURO cents, yet the EUR is nearly even with USD these days...)

In Austria, have you considered 7.62mm/.32acp?

used to be a common caliber even used by the police back in the days they (also) carried the PPK, but today it is much more expensive than 9mm or .22lr. Not good for plinking, in any case!

I have a couple Beretta 21 A in 22 They like CCI standard load or the hi velocity. I was surprised at how reliable was. Unlike the Taurus I sent back to factory 2 times and still came back not FIX . I sent in for lite strikes some time take 8 to 10 tries for 1 shot. Came back said polished feed ramp:eek:
Still wouldn't shoot sent back You guessed it . Got a 2nd polish job. Dealer took back and I bought 2 of the Beretta's

That my last go round with Taurus that and junk revolver I got . No more Taurus in my house.

While we're at it... what is the smallest auto 22lr?

I'd love to see someone make a tiny poly 22lr auto that would fit in a Levis change pocket.
Or at least a poly version of the little Colt 25acp, that'd be cool too.

So far all we have is the little NAA revolvers.
