Any Kahr CT380 owners?

Anybody have experiences with these little pistols? They handsome little guns are even more impressive on paper at 11 oz unloaded and 0.75" thick. A LGS has them for $300 but I would need to order one. I've never handled one. Good, bad, ugly?

I had one and it was a slick little pistol. I loved the feel of it, great trigger, good sights, and tiny. But the thing had too many feed malfunctions. I gave it a fair shake. I put about 250 rounds through it, and still steady feeding failures.

I have 2 CT380's. I found the CW380 just too small so I picked up a CT380 and then a second one! While I'm not a fan of 380 I'd rather carry a 9MM the CT380 for me is perfect summer carry and around the house anytime.

I had a few FTF/FTE around the 50 round mark on my first CT380 but none since and coming up on the 300 round mark now. My second one I'm still in the first 100 rounds but so far so good.

The long and somewhat heavy trigger is not for everyone but for me it is a selling point for a pocket carry pistol. There is no safety to snag on and the sights are adequate.

I find the CT380 is made to the same standards as my other larger Kahr pistols
and glad I have them!

Yes I can get my pinky around the bottom of the grip. I have owned 3 LCP's
and really liked them too but I didn't like pinky hanging off and for me just not as good to carry as my Kahr CW-380 was and now the CT-380's.

I think the CT-380 is a winner! Your mileage may vary?

I handled one at a gunshow and thought the trigger was horrible .

Strange. Most Kahr pistols have very nice DA triggers. Long (like a safety-less DAO should be) but very smooth and crisp.

I agree. The Kahr triggers are among the best DAO triggers on the market. I owned a CT380 and it was reliable and soft shooting. The problem I had was that it didn't fit my hand very well.

the polymer Kahr's are a gamble on out of the box reliability, even after the 200 round required break in its a gamble. their steel guns are top notch based on the two I owned as well as a dozen or so owned by others i've known....

I had a PM9 that was 100% out of the box. I had a PM45 that couldn't stumble through two magazines without at least one failure to feed no mater which ammo and profile I tried.... after about 800 rounds I gave up.

I called Kahr customer service and always spoke with a man named Ian (not Fleming) and always got a bad attitude from him.

Just got back from the range where my wife ran 75 rnds through her CT380. Only her second time firing it. She had one failure to feed, three failure to battery, and once the slide failed to lock back. All easily attributable to limp wristing. It takes all the recoil energy to cycle the slide properly and any issues with grip or limp wristing will bleed enough energy off to cause problems.

It fires, nearly, flawlessly for me. If I try to fire it at the end of a long session, I sometimes have problems, too.

I bought a new ct380 and it would not auto feed the second round, just stove pipe jam etc. Called up Kahr and sent it back to them, a week later it came back and said they had polished feed ramp and slide. it has fed several clips without a hitch.

I like the trigger on it and I can get a full three fingers on 7 round frame, it is slim and as another said perfect summer wear. If it continues to function I have to say I'm pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to take a rabbit's head at 25 feet.

Came with two mags and while maybe a 6 rounder would be more concealable the three fingers gives me so much more confidence.

too bad they couldn't polish it right the first time.

I owned my CT .380 for about 6 months now, I must say mine has been exceptionally reliable. I've had to the range several times now, and it runs any ammo I load it with.

Sometimes, I'll load a mag with a mix of regular ball, hollow points and flat point ball. It shoots 'em all.!

Did I get one with the best tolerances to been 100% reliable.? Maybe.

I do know, it's very easy to carry, and easy to conceal.

Carried a neat little LCP for 7 years before retiring it in favor of my new CT380 last year. Mine eats up all the Federal, Remington, & Hornady CD it's fed. It doesn't like WWB though.
I will say it's a pleasure to shoot whereas the Ruger wasn't so much.

Carry the Kahr all the time now.

kahr triggers are very long pulls but VERY smooth -- you are either going to like it a lot -- or not at all. If you go for Kahr trigger concept, also play with the 9mm version - more power and grip for just another inch...
