any Illinois people?

Requires a person who possesses a large capacity ammunition feeding device on the effective date of the amendatory Act, within 90 days after that date, to destroy the device, render the device permanently inoperable, relinquish the device to a law enforcement agency, or remove the device from the State.
Thankfully criminals who own "assault weapons" will gladly obey these rules to the letter. Plus we'll lose a few hundred jobs and some tax revenue! What a wonderful piece of legislation...

You have my sympathy. I am a resident of NY State and if we lose the state Senate we shall be in the same pickle!

Heh. You new to this state, boy?

:)

They've been pushing this steaming pile quite hard for at least 3 years now. Last year it came within a handful of votes of getting through the house. This year it missed the deadline for being a "substantive bill" so in theory it's on the shelf for a good bit of time. From the sound of things (note : pure speculation), this year they pushed it quite hard, but the push back was as stiff as ever. Despite everything, I actually feel fairly confident this year.

But yeah, I'm still a little tweaked that big tornado that hit Springfield yesterday managed to miss Blago :(

I just hope that blago goes away. Just need to get every one to the ballot box.

It seems he isn't a big fan of firearms owners rights. Still don't know that we will get CCW any time soon.
