I sent my Glock 9mm to David Bowie http://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com/ to have some work done on it. I talked with him prior to sending it, but I haven't been able to get in contact with him since he has received my pistol.

Does anybody know David, and what's going on with him? I'm sure there is a logical reason since he obviously runs a reputable business?

I'm just a little concerned because he has my gun and I can't contact him via phone or email!

Thank you.

I joined this site specifically for this post, but have already found it very useful. Lots of good stuff here, thank you.

Maybe he's like an old mechanic friend.
He used to answer phone calls with:
"Your car will be ready when it's ready. And the more you call about it, the more I'm interrupted and the longer it takes".
Now he doesn't even answer the phone or look at emails during working hours.

SWAT, contact....

Keep in mind that Bowie is also a sworn LE officer & SWAT unit supervisor.
In the future, I'd suggest briefing the contractor or gunsmith before you spend any $$$ or make any plans.
Pistolsmiths, even well known shops may take extended periods. I saw a new TV series, Begg Knives which said custom blades may take years due to demand.

The problem is that I have a few things I need to talk to him about, plus he doesn't have a way to charge me.
Send him a letter, outline the issues, and ask him to call you or e-mail you.

I understand the USPS is still operating, and would appreciate your business.

I met the man once at a shoot hosted by an organization that I'm a part of, and he was giving out a little hands-on training and the gentleman is the real deal. He gave less than a minute of direct instruction that was absolutely concise & to the point and helpful, instantly.

His work on guns plays to rave reviews, but is in such demand that you've kinda gotta send him a gun & forget about it, or you'll go nuts waiting for it to return.

He hangs out here.
