While I was in Idaho on vacation, I looked over my dad's old Winchester. Here's the description:
Model 1886, 45-90, octagon barrel, no bluing left on the gun, stock replaced around 1950, serial #51xxx, much pitting in the barrel but action seems good and solid.
Any info much appreciated.
