any idea of value on s&w 5906TSW?

GunsAmerica.com...

For prices, values & information, I'd check www.gunsamerica.com .
It's free, doesn't spam or jerk you around & a good resource for firearms.
I've been on GunsAmerica.com since 2004 and I've bought 3 handguns using it.

JGsales.com Cheaperthandirt.com GilbertsGuns.com & GunBroker.com may help too.

A really nice condition 5906tsw is harder to find than a nice standard 5906 lately. The tsw version of the 5906 seems to be very desirable so you should be able to find a buyer easily. I wouldn't take less than $500. I would ask $600 and try to find the right buyer. For a LNIB condition 5906tsw it's worth it, you really get alot of gun for the money. Maby put it on www.gunbroker.com or a similar sight. Post it on the forums here. There are more than a few 5906 fans, myself included but no new guns for me for awhile lol. I just have to ask you one more thing. Are you sure you want to sell this pistol? These are great guns and you might really regret it down the road. I know I have sold some that I kick myself for and I wish someone was there to slap me into thinking straight.

I was pondering a trade offer for this 5906tsw, and a nice 10/22 for a HK USP Compact .40sw.....

opinions?

In terms of value, IMHO this is a decent trade but not a great one, assuming the HK is in VG to Exc condition and the 10/22 is a newish, ordinary, unmodified .22LR model. If the 10/22 is pre-1980s, a commemorative edition, heavily modified, or (particularly) .22Mag, it's NOT a good trade.

That said, I generally dislike 2-for-1 gun trades, particularly when trading a gun that's not easily replaced (the 5906TSW) for one that is (the USP Compact). Keep in mind that if you trade away a LNIB 5906TSW, you most likely aren't going to find another one like it.
