S SVTNate New member Nov 19, 2001 #3 I know of one in private ownership with only 200 rounds through it, still like new...but I'm not telling where, because it will be mine very soon If I pass on it though, I'll fill you in. Can we even buy used handguns that are not listed on the DOJ "approved" list in CA? This is something I had not really thought of until now.

K Kermit New member Nov 19, 2001 #4 So far, as long as the guns are legally registered in the state of CA, you can private party transfer them ALL DAY LONG! That does exclude everything they have described as "assault" weapons and hi-cap mags cannot change ownership.
