Any experience with the Gun Vault 5900?

Hello all - first post here after being a voyer for a while...

I currently use a lock box and want to add a smallish safe and this is priced right. I also like the finger pad combination for quick access. Main need is to keep the little girl safe and make it more difficult for the bg to run off with the guns and silver.

Anyone have knowledge about function and reliability of these / recommendations ?

Should work well to keep your child out. Will also work for the types of burglaries where the bad guy doesn't try to get into the safe.

I would not count on the safe to protect from a burglar who would attack it, nor would I count on the safe as a quick access unit. These types of safes use very inexpensive Chinese electronics. Reliability will be iffy.
 
Thanks so much for the feedback - I need to keep cost to about 500 right now - any suggestions for something that will keep the kids safe and slow down a bg?
