In order to get prices from their website, you have to pay $5/month. On the surface, this screams nonsense to me. Any experience with these guys. They have a Kahr MK40 Elite in stock that I'm trying to get a price on.

Go somewhere else. If you wanna order, check wildinalaska form this forum. He gets great reviews from everyone. I think his name is Ken and he has a 1800# in his sig line.

I have bought several pistols from Onpointfirearms in the past three years. Their service and prices were some of the best I have found on the Internet. Their website has changed since I bought my last pistol from them. All prices used to be posted for each product and no "membership" was needed to get a price for anything. I would have to agree with others who suggest looking elsewhere at the present time (I have used and like sportingarms.com to buy pistols). Good luck.

The VIP program is new.

I don't care the lack of listed prices. If I knew I was going to save a substantial amount of money, then I would certainly join it. Good service, good folks.

They only ship UPS, so the shipping is a bit high.

I personally don't support any vendor that pulls stuff like that ("pay me to tell you what I want for it" nonsense).

Just like looking at something for sell in the newspaper..... no price listed, I just move on. If the price is not a positve feature about the item, then it's no doubt a negative point.

Sounds like a car dealership where I tried to buy a new SUV once. No sticker in the window. I asked how much and the salesman said he could give me the price if I committed to buying the auto. I walked out and bought the same auto from another dealer. I have no time for fools or foolish games.

you can just join for 1 month for the $5, order your gun, then cancel. It says cancel at anytime. I can't find anyone else w/the GSG-5 besdies Atlantic & Onpoint says GSG-5s are coming in soon.

I actually did end up buying from Bud's. Even if I were to find out that the prices at Onpoint were better, I can't ever see buying from them. Paying a merchant for the privilige of knowing his price just bothers me.

I guess this is kinda late, but you DON'T have to pay to see the prices. You just create a free account and you can see all the prices and availability. When you get ready to order, THEN you have to pay $5/month, and can cancel at anytime. I'm thinking about getting a Glock 20 from them. Under $505 for the model I want. As of Feb.1 2010, I haven't seen anything cheaper, even after you figure in the shipping and the 5 bucks and the FFL transfer fee. Think I'm gonna go for it. I felt it was important to reply to this thread, even though it is so old, because anyone doing a search to try to find a review on OnPointFirearms would get the wrong idea about the place. I haven't ordered from them yet, but they aren't hiding anything from anyone. Sorry I couldn't get this up here earlier.

I have read this thread and decided to register (not pay) so I could see the prices. They certianly seem very competative but I don't know what shipping cost is. So I emailed them and asked since I couldn't find a phone number. No answer. I had emailed them a seperat equestion and they responeded quickly. Do you think they won't respond until I pay the $5? I really don't want to become a VIP only to find out shipping to 23832 is $60. People on ebay try that crap all the time. The item is $5 but shipping is $45.

I bought a Glock 22 from On Point. The item was as described but he took a week to ship the item. The site says $4.95 a month but it is actually every two weeks. Also, beware that the cart will let you select ground shipping and a receipt will be sent to you with that total price. He will then send it UPS 2nd day and bill you the additional $25.00. The only reason I ordered from his site in the first place because the total with shipping was less than I could buy it locally w tax. In my case he sent it out on a Thursday night so I received it the next Tuesday which was five days later. Anyway I canceled my membership because I found better prices and service at other sites that don't charge a penny to order from.

I have had no problems with shipping the firearms. They are shipped USPS for minimal cost and arrive quickly (both long guns and pistols). I'm still not a fan of the VIP charge but you can register, buy your gun and then disenroll without problem. Good luck.

poor service

I joined and started paying the $5 month. I emailed them several times asking when they would be getting a 9mm HK P2000 back in stock.
no response...
emailed them again...
no response...

I don't mind paying for good service but I DO mind paying for crappy service...I'll never buy anything from them

Out of stock

80% of the items are out of stock. Why show items if you are out and there isn't any indication when they will be in stock. Oh ya. That's right. To string them along into paying the $9.90 a month. SMART!

$9.90 a month?

@Oscarlone

Did you pay the membership fee towards the end of the month. The reason I am asking is that on the terms and conditions, it clearly states they will charge 4.95 on the 1st of every month, so im thinking you probably paid two weeks prior to the end of the month and then they charged you again on the 1st of the following month. Not sure if you understand me, but im guessing that is what happened. Despite this you are right, in a way they should not have charged you again in two weeks but then again, it clearly states in the terms and conditions that they will charge you on the 1st of every month. Now, if you are telling me that they are literally charging you every two weeks for sometime now, then there is an obvious problem.
