It's a cheap pump 12ga I figured would just be a closet HD gun. I can get it for under $200 shipped, brand new. The model number is NP1-P18. Anyone have this gun? Personal thoughts, opinions, etc etc. I have an older New England crack open from when I was a kid and it never failed me, but theres nothing that could really break with that thing. I've never dealt with any of their pump guns so I figured I would go to you guys for advice. Thanks.

i have a new england arms harrington and richardson pardner pump action shotgun i have had it for over 5 years and it works just as good, if not better than my buddies 870. ere are the only problems i am yet to encounter

-weak finish(i ended up painting the thing to keep the rust off it when i waterfowl) In all honesty tough I duck hunt with mine....it doesnt get rusty at all during the summer or spring.
-Chipped stock(i got mad when I missed a duck and threw it on the marshes)

thats it.....honestly out of all the firearms in my gun cabinet this is the ONLY one I would trust my life to. I have killed way more animals with this than any other gun as well....works great. Im yet to pull the trigger and not have it do its job.

I have two of the NEF pardner pumps.

One is in 12 ga. and 28" bbl., real walnut stock and forearm.

The other is a 20Ga.,21"bbl.,walnut stock and forearm.

Less than $500 for both guns.

Thay are well made, robustly manufactured shotguns that IMHO run rings around other brands, domestic and imported, in their respective price points.

You'll probably get flamed due to the fact that they are Chinese imports.

I respect the feelings of those who don't like Chinese goods, but a good gun is a good gun and these shotguns are an excellent value.

Max 100 has endured a lot of heat for singing the praises of these shotguns and has a very good review of these guns in some previous posts.

I will say this, no U.S. manufacturer can produce a gun constructed like the NEF Pardner for what they are selling for.

Now, let me don my Nomex firefighter suit, I smell smoke.....

they are either a mossberg or winchester/or 870 rem clone.you should be able to tell by the cap on mag tube.
