Any contacts work at the base in Crane IN?

A friend of mine who was on the Navy Marksmanship Team knows a guy who works there.

The huge quantity of classic US military rifles stored there in numerous buildings seems to be unknown to the general public.
The problem is that they can not be released to commercial distributors, and the other possibility is that their existence could become threatened.

Is there a realistic possibility that the White House gang, or US rifle manufacturers would make a serious effort to prevent release of any large number of Crane's guns to the US commercial markets And/Or the CMP?

If not, maybe it could be done in the lower levels of the chain of command, or must it be approved by people near WH Cabinet level (Sec. of Commerce etc or staff)?

Though it might not be accurate, a friend's info seems to indicate that these guns will stay in their crates, and can't go anywhere.
He retired from the NAVRES on the Navy Marksmanship Team years ago, where he won about a dozen Garands as prizes, and has various contacts in the community.
