violence broke out at a pop concert in the Miami Arena
Tuesday night, police said Wednesday. The melee
started during the intermission of a show featuring R&B singer R.Kelly,
rapper Nas and singers Foxy Brown, Kelly Price and Deborah Cox.
A spokeswoman for the Jackson Memorial Hospital said six of the
eight were treated for wounds to the head, back and face then
discharged. The other two men, who were stabbed in the chest and
abdomen, remained in the hospital.
Police said the victims, aged from 18 to 29, were attacked by
unknown assailants. Investigators had no idea what ignited the
incident, police spokesman Willy Moreno said.
