Update from CalNRA. I understand the show has degenerated somewhat into selling a lot of flea market crap, but from the standpoint of seeing the antis get defeated again, it Warm & Fuzzy time. Thanks to those "infidels"
remaining in Southern Kalifornia.

"Folks ---

The NRA Members' Council of North San Diego County also affiliated with the California Rifle and Pistol Association, pulled out all the stops this past week and gathered a standing room only crowd to the meeting of 22nd Agricultural District Board Meeting on 5/9/00.

The pro-gun activists were at the meeting to support the board who are under fire from the mainstream media and Handgun Control Inc. to close the Del Mar Gun Show. More than
twenty five speakers spoke in favor of the show and only one in opposition.

The board members were overwhelmed by the support they received. One board member quipped after viewing the overflow rowd, "am I in the right meeting?" Most of speakers thanked the board for standing up for free
speech and freedom of assembly.

Members of the media were visibly annoyed that their anti-gun agenda was thwarted. Thanks to all the support shown for the board today, the Del Mar Gun Show will remain operational.

This was one of the most exciting grassroots victories we have seen in San Diego in years. We want to thank the California Rifle and Pistol Association, Escondido Fish and Game, The California Gun Dealers
Association, The International Freedom Foundation, The California Sovereignty Coalition, The Libertarian Party of San Diego, The NRA Members' Council of South San Diego, and The Republicans for the
Restoration of the Constitution for helping to get the word out.

The NRA Members' Council of North San Diego County meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Bakers Square Restaurant at the intersection of I-78 and Rancho Santa Fe Road in San Marcos. All Guests are welcome. The next meeting will be held on 5/17/00.
