Anti gun companies? Careful who you boycott.

The Coke vs Pepsi thread on AR15.com brought out a couple of comments to the effect that Pepsi supports HCI. I've worked for Pepsi for twelve years. I first heard this RUMOR 5 yrs ago. I was furious and checked it out. I've yet to see any real evidence to support this claim. If anyone could produce facts to support this I would be very interested in seeing them. I'm all for boycotting companies that are anti but, we should be sure before we slam a product based purely on heresay. Pepsi as a corporation takes no stance on this issue( from what I've seen). Bear in mind that there are independent franchisees out there that may not follow Pepsi corporate policy. In this case the franchise owner is personally responsable not the company. How about it? Can anybody offer solid proof that Pepsi is anti? Are there other companies we are boycotting based on pure rumor.

By the way. The rumor that Mt. Dew lowers your sperm count is completely ridiculous.

OT

I won't drink Pepsi until they get rid of that irritating brat. Until the kid leaves I'm drinking Coke.

So many pistols, so little money.

I was of the same mind (about not drinking it) until they got Faith Hill (who is pro-gun from what I've heard), now I'll drink to that ;)

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!

That's interesting. You see, my father owns a store with a coke machine outside. Every few months, a Pepsi rep. comes by and tries to get him to install a Pepsi machine. My father has always refused on the grounds that Pepsi supports gun control. Each time, the rep. has acknowledged that, and said that Pepsi has lost business as a result. So, if it is a rumor, then Pepsi believes it as well.

Buzz: All I can say about that rep is that he is a complete idiot. Typical salesman, agree with anything to avoid conflict or the work of disproving the rumor. In fact, if you email the area your father's store is in, I'll figure out who this moron is and tell him myself :D

No offense to salesmen. Been one myself for quite awhile now.

Last year the local Pepsi distributor helped sponsor an outdoor education program with NE Game & Parks for area 4th graders. Topics included hunting and fishing. No anti b.s. from Pepsi here.

My only question is this: As an employee of Pepsi, do they forbide conceal carry? And if you do get caught concealled carry, do they automatically terminate you? The company I work for may be considered "Anti-gun" because of their policy of employees not being allowed to carry. They do this because they are a multi-state corporation and have alot of stores in the north (which is very Anti). But, if you have a CWP or carry in states that have citizen protection laws.. they don't "see" the violation of policy. It's kind of like the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Now, if you are violating the law of the state (or fed) then they will terminate you to CYA. I like Pepsi, I even like the brat and won't change unless it comes clear that they are anti. I won't drink Coke but I can find some off brand I guess (shasta, RC, Etc..).
